Common REAPER Live Control questions
Why does the plugin need REAPER's web interface?
Live Control talks to REAPER through its built-in web interface. It reads session state such as transport position, track flags and the Action List. Enable it in REAPER under Options, then Control/Remote/Web.
Does it work with a portable REAPER install?
Yes. Live Control detects standard and portable REAPER installations automatically on Windows and macOS.
Can I assign my own scripts?
Yes. Actions in REAPER's Action List work, including Custom Actions, ReaScripts and registered extension scripts.
Can I customize the keys?
Yes. You can use REAPER toolbar and track icons, or set custom PNGs, on/off states, active colours, titles and text sizes.
