This policy covers granitecoaststudio.com and support enquiries sent to Granite Coast Studio. Products sold through the Elgato Marketplace are also covered by Elgato's own terms and privacy policy.
Who is responsible
Granite Coast Studio is the data controller for this website and for messages sent to [email protected]. Use that address for questions about this policy or to exercise your rights.
Visiting the website
The site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc. To deliver pages and protect the site against abuse, Cloudflare processes technical request data such as your IP address, browser type and the requested page. This is based on our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). Cloudflare may process this data outside the EU under the safeguards in its data processing terms.
The website has no accounts, no contact forms and no analytics. Fonts are served from this site, so viewing a page does not contact Google or any other font service.
Your consent choice is saved in your browser's local storage under gcs_consent, together with the time you made it. It stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Emailing support
If you email support, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and use it to answer you and help with the product. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or the steps needed to support a product you use (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)). Please do not include sensitive information that is not needed to solve the problem.
Google Ads, with consent only
We use Google Ads conversion measurement to see whether our ads lead to visits to our product listings on the Elgato Marketplace. It is provided by Google Ireland Limited.
It runs only if you accept advertising measurement in the cookie banner. Until you do, the site does not load Google's tag and sends nothing to Google. With your consent, Google's tag sets first-party cookies such as _gcl_au, and a click on a marketplace link is reported to Google as a conversion. Google receives technical data such as your IP address, browser details and the page you came from. A marketplace click measures an outbound visit, not a purchase; we cannot see purchases made on Elgato. We do not use the data for remarketing or ad personalisation.
The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). Google may transfer data to the United States; Google states that it relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. You can withdraw consent at any time under “Cookie settings” in the footer. Withdrawing deletes Google's cookies on this site and stops the tag from loading.
Demo video
The REAPER Live Control page shows a demo video from YouTube's privacy-enhanced domain, youtube-nocookie.com. The player is not loaded until you press play. Pressing play connects your browser to YouTube (Google Ireland Limited), which receives technical data such as your IP address and may store data in your browser under its own policies.
Products and Elgato Marketplace
The REAPER Live Control plugin communicates with REAPER on your own computer through REAPER's web interface. It does not send telemetry or usage data to Granite Coast Studio.
Product links take you to the Elgato Marketplace. Elgato handles its marketplace, checkout and payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. We never receive your payment details.
How long data is kept
- Consent choice: 12 months in your browser, after which the banner asks again. You can clear it at any time.
- Google Ads cookies: up to 90 days, and deleted from this site when you withdraw consent. Google keeps reported data under its own retention rules.
- Support emails: as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. You can also ask us to restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and receive your data in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier processing.
To use these rights, email [email protected]. You can also complain to a data protection authority. In Denmark that is Datatilsynet (datatilsynet.dk).
Changes
We will update this page if our data practices change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects what you consented to, the banner will ask you again.
